Shingles

  • A viral infection that appears as a painful rash with blisters
  • Caused by the same virus as chickenpox
  • When a person gets chickenpox and the virus remains in their body, it gets reactivated as shingles later in life

Recommended for all adults 50+ and immunocompromised individuals.

Pneumococcal

  • An infection caused by the pneumococcus bacteria
  • Spread through coughing or sneezing
  • A higher risk for certain populations, especially those 65 and over

Recommended for adults 65+, immunocompromised and those living with certain medical conditions
such as diabetes, heart disease & chronic lung disease.

Hepatitis A & B

  • Infections can cause the liver, a vital organ in your body, to become inflamed and injured
  • Found all over the world
  • More common in developing countries, making this vaccine ideal for those with travel plans to at-risk regions

Recommended for all travellers and some high-risk individuals.
Hepatitis B vaccines are recommended for all healthy adolescents.

Meningococcal

  • An infection caused by the meningococcus bacteria
  • Spread through coughing or sneezing, even by healthy people who can carry and spread the bacteria to others
  • A dangerous infection for people at any age, and it can lead to death
  • Recommended for everyone ages 1 to 24 years.

Chickenpox (Varicella)

  • An infection caused by the varicella zoster virus
  • SAppears as an itchy rash with blisters and is very contagious to others
  • A virus that can reactivate as a shingles infection later in life

Recommended for everyone 15 months to 49 years.

RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus)

  • An infection caused by the respiratory syncytial virus
  • Spread through coughing or sneezing
  • Carried and spread to others even by healthy people, or those with only mild symptoms
  • A higher risk for certain populations, especially infants and elderly people.

Recommended for all adults 60+.

HPV (Human Papillomavirus)

  • Viral infection that can lead to genital warts (small growths on the skin in the genital area)
  • Infections can also lead to certain types of cancer, like cervical cancer

Recommended for men and women 18 to 45.
